Elf
Physical: Elves are generally seen as tall, lanky humanoids with pointed ears. Their faces are more feral that humans, with slanted eyes and sharp angles. Stronger and faster than humans. Most have light-colored hair.
Lifespan: Immortal.
Possible Powers: Elves can have healing or nature-related powers
Typical Homes: Forest and wilderness
Sub-species:
Dark Elves - Elves with dark hair and skin. Usually associated with evil. Their powers are of darkness and shadows.
Grey Elves - Rare elves with grey-ish skin and darker hair. They often live near water and are nomadic in nature.
Fairy
Physical: Typically smaller than humans and almost always female. They have wings that are usually similar to butterfly wings or are feathery. Fairies can have any hair, wing and eye color imaginable.
Lifespan: Immortal.
Possible Powers: Flight (obviously). Elemental association (see sub-species).
Typical Homes: This depends greatly on their sub-species, but fairies can live pretty much anywhere though they usually avoid cities.
Sub-species: Ice Fairy, Fire Fairy, Water Fairy, Earth Fairy, Dark Fairy, Light Fairy
Vampire
Physical: Vampires are always pale and often have black hair, though they do not have to. They (obviously) have pointed fangs. Vampires are much stronger and faster than any human. They have wings, either feathery or leathery, that can be concealed when not in use.
Lifespan: Immortal.
Possible Powers: Combining some typical vampire ideas:
~ Blood Transfusion - This is how vampires create more of them, both the vampire and the human have to somehow take in the other's blood. This can also be used to heal other vampires.
~ Fast Healing
~ Telekinesis and Telepathy (usually only elder vampires have this)
~ Flight
~ Burns in the sunlight (which is not a power, but it is a good thing to note)
Typical Homes: Dark shady areas in cities where prey is easy to find
Sub-species: None.
Mermaid
Physical: They have a (usually naked) torso of a human with the tail fins of a fish. Virtually any color imaginable. Gills on the sides of their necks.
Lifespan: Immortal.
Possible Powers: Anything water-related (use your imagination)
Typical Homes: ...Water.
Sub-species: None.
Demon (humanoid)
Physical: The human looking demons somewhat resemble vampires with their pale skin and often-black hair. However, instead of two fangs, a demon's mouth is full of fangs. Some have horns, others have scaly skin, still others have forked tongues, a select few even have wings.
Lifespan: Debatable. Some are immortal, but not all.
Possible Powers: No true powers, they rely on ripping and tearing.
Typical Homes: Dark shady areas of cities.
Sub-species: None.
Anthromorph
Physical: Any humanoid that can assume the form of an animal. They, therefore, can have any appearance possible. However, all anthromorphs take on some aspect of their animal to their human form, whether it is ears, a tail, eyes, etc.
Lifespan: Debatable.
Possible Powers: No true powers, they rely on ripping and tearing.
Typical Homes: Anywhere
Sub-species: Nearly any (usually predatory) animal you can think of
Angel
Physical: Light skinned with huge white feathered wings. They are indescribably beautiful and cannot pass off as humans so easily as any other humanoid can. They are the sentient defenders of God and answer directly to Him. He is their true Father and they can not be born naturally.
Lifespan: Immortal.
Possible Powers: Powers of life and or light
Typical Homes: Anywhere (though usually not on earth)
Sub-species: Fallen Angels - Angels fallen from grace and doomed to eternity on Earth. Their wings usually turn to grey or black and they begin to look more human.
Human with Powers
Physical: They look... human.
Lifespan: 100
Possible Powers: Anything you'd like. (think X-Men, Heroes, etc.)
Typical Homes: Anywhere
Sub-species: None.
